The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the Prime Minister’s Office, providing professional, courteous, and efficient reception and administrative support to visitors, officials, staff, and members of the public.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist visitors, officials, and members of the public.
  • Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls and enquiries.
  • Manage the reception area and maintain a professional environment.
  • Receive and distribute correspondence, documents, and deliveries.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments and visitors.
  • Provide accurate information and direct enquiries to the appropriate office or department.
  • Maintain visitor logs, records, and other administrative documentation.
  • Assist with meeting arrangements and official functions.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Office.
  • Assist with digital correspondence, document management, and other office systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate supervisor.
Qualifications
  • CXC/CSEC or equivalent qualification; certificate or diploma in Office Administration is an asset.
  • Previous experience in reception, customer service, or administrative support.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Professional appearance, courteous manner, and strong customer-service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital office systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a high-profile government environment.
